Emily is an only child who lives in a big old house located on the edge of Rosewood Forest. She loves to spend hours playing among the flowers in her garden and exploring the forest around her home. How she longed to share her great adventures. One day Emily was sitting under her favorite pink rose feeling so lonely she began to cry. Suddenly she heard a fluttering sound above her right ear. Startled, she turned, and perched on a rose was a sweet looking tiny girl. "Who are you?" gasped Emily!

"I'm a Florafae fairy," the tiny tinkling voice replied. "Who are you?"

"I'm Emily. You're so little, and OH, you have wings!"

"Of course, silly," the Florafae fairy cried out merrily. "All fairies have wings."

Emily was astonished, but she was so delighted she forgot all about being lonely. "Are you all by yourself, too?"

"Of course not. I have lots and lots of fairy friends. You'll be seeing them too."

"How will I see them?" asked Emily, bewildered.

"Come with me and meet my friends. I'll show you where they live," said the fairy.

And that is how Emily from Ellenora Island discovered fairies. And they became her friends.

Water Nymphs live deep in the Rosewood Forest at the edge of Nymph’s Pond. They are so shy not even the Treepixies get to play with them (unless the Treepixies wait for hours and hours which of course never happens since the Treepixies are so impatient and can’t stand to wait for anything). The Humans who live on Ellenora Island speak in awe about the Water Nymphs. They say to have a Water Nymph kiss you on the cheek will add beauty and years to your life. Many times a Human child will grow up to be exceptionally beautiful and people will whisper that the child must have stumbled upon the Water Nymph’s Pond. The Water Nymphs are so shy they will disappear into their home behind the waterfall as soon as any Human or Fairy approaches their special pond. They spend most of their time swimming in their pools or sunbathing upon the sun warmed rocks. The only time they leave their pond is to attend the annual Season Ball that takes place four times a year.

Emily's Fairies, Fairy, Water Nymph Sculpture No.565 *Amira* is intricately and delicately hand sculpted with polymer clay (she is one of a kind and comes straight from my imagination - NO mold is used) from the tip of her up turned nose to her little tiny Fairy toes ~ Amira is 5 1/2 inches tall (including crown). Amazingly her wings are made with translucent material. Her Wings are flexible, you can pose them to your liking) and almost take longer to create then the Fairy itself with special attention to color and design - these wings are coated with a rainbow glaze and are sprinkled with a layer of glitter. The wings are also detachable for easier shipping and added strength. Her eyes are carefully sculpted to show emotion and the "eye" itself is hand painted many shades of green framed with brown angora mohair eyelashes applied one by one to create a life-like expression. Amira has wispy shiny dark brown hair. Her hair is high quality angora mohair, hand-curled and handmade into a wig, applied lock by lock. All Fairies are numbered, dated, signed by the Artist and come with a Certificate of Authenticity, and the Water Nymph story.

Amira watched as Emily smeared mud all over herself. When Emily looked at her and smiled, Amira laughed until tears flowed down her cheeks. Emily was the funniest looking creature she had ever seen!
